Hospital Parking

General and Handicap Parking for University Hospital, Primary Care Center and West Complex

Parking for appointments at University Hospital, Primary Care Center or West Complex is available in the Lee Street Garage, directly across the street from University Hospital and Emergency Department. Take the green parking ticket you receive when you enter the garage to your patient registration site for validation to park for free.

Handicap parking is located on level B-E of the Lee Street Garage.

Parking for the Jefferson Park Avenue Medical Office Building

The 11^th Street Garage provides general and handicap parking for patients with appointments at the Jefferson Park Avenue Medical Office Building. Please take the green parking ticket you receive when you enter the garage to patient registration for validation to park for free.

Patient Courtesy Shuttles

Passenger shuttle service run regularly between UVA Health System clinical sites, selected parking areas and guest lodging facilities.  Please notify a member of the front door team if you need transportation via shuttle. Get the schedules.

Patient Assistance

The main entrances of University Hospital, Jefferson Park Avenue Medical Office Building and the West Complex Jefferson Park Avenue and Hospital Drive entrances are staffed with front door greeters to provide patients with wheelchairs and assist with other needs. 

Oversized Vehicles

Vehicles over 6 feet 8 inches are too tall to fit in the parking garage. Pull into the circle in front of University Hospital and obtain a permit from a member of the front door team in order to park in an alternate lot.

Getting to Your Appointment

Due to a number of construction projects at the Medical Center and along the streets approaching the Medical Center, traffic delays are possible. To make arriving at your appointment as easy as possible, we suggest allowing a few extra minutes in your travel schedule.

Staff is available at the main entrance to University Hospital on Lee Street to assist with information and transportation. A shuttle is available along Lee Street in front of the Lee Street Garage to transport patients between the Primary Care Center, West Complex and the Jefferson Park Avenue Medical Office Building.
