Evaluating Your Valve Condition

At UVA, you’ll receive a full evaluation from one of our doctors who specialize in treating heart valve disease. Your evaluation will include an echocardiography (a cardiac ECHO, or sonogram of the heart), a cardiac CT scan or an MRI and a catheterization to evaluate the severity of your condition. We’ll then work with you to determine the best approach for your treatment.
