Pediatric Neurosciences

Our pediatric neurologists and neurosurgeons evaluate and treat a wide range of brain and nervous system conditions, including epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders and developmental delays.

Children with neurological disorders often need treatment that is different than what adults need. Our pediatric neurologists and neurosurgeons evaluate and treat a wide range of brain and nervous system conditions, including epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders and developmental delays.

At UVA, children are treated and rehabilitated using the special services of the Kluge Children's Rehabilitation Center, including the Motion Analysis Lab.

Whether it's spine or brain surgery, we try to perform less invasive procedures to decrease pain, cut down on the length of hospital stays and shorten recovery time.

We also offer a state-of-the-art epilepsy monitoring unit and a clinic for children with tuberous sclerosis, and we one of the world leaders in treating pituitary tumors.

Appointments are made only with a referral from your child’s doctor or specialist.
