Clinical Trial Description

UVA Health System Center for Research in Reproduction Seeks Healthy Girls Ages 7 to 18 for Research Study

The goal of this study is to determine the roles of the adrenal gland hormone production during puberty. Healthy volunteers and volunteers with excess hair growth and/or irregular periods are needed. Participants must not have taken birth control pills or hormonal medications for at least 3 months before the research study. Parental consent is necessary for participation. The study includes a screening physical exam and blood work, one additional blood draw, and one overnight admission to the General Clinical Research Center. Study related visits and tests provided at no charge.

Compensation

Compensation for study completion is a $100 mall gift certificate.
