Clinical Trial Description
UVa Health System, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology-Oncology seeks adults ages 18 and over who have been treated successfully for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and are at high risk of having the disease return. A new type of cancer drug, is being studied to find out whether it can delay or prevent the return of the lymphoma in high-risk patients. The study involves taking the study drug or a placebo, physical examinations, blood draws, and radiology scans. If you join the study, you will be asked to come to the Cancer Center clinic for a screening visit, then every month for the planned study drug treatment duration of one year, and follow-up radiology scanning visits and telephone contacts (every three months).
- Each visit may take about 2 hours or less.
- Study-related research blood sampling, study drug, and certain radiology scans are provided free of charge.
- All tests that are considered standard of care will be billed to you and your insurance company.
