General Pediatrics at the Primary Care Center

General Pediatrics at the Primary Care Center at UVA provides pediatric primary care services for children and adolescents from birth through age 21, including routine checkups and tests, immunizations, sports and college physicals and gynecologic care. 

Our providers and staff help families raise healthy, happy and secure children by providing compassionate care in the heart of the Medical Center. We offer patients convenient access to specialty care as needed.

From North (Culpeper): Follow U.S. 29 South toward Charlottesville. U.S. 29 South turns into Emmet Street. Turn left onto U.S. 250 Business East/University Avenue. Take a sharp right at light onto Jefferson Park Avenue. Turn left on Lee Street. The Primary Care Center is located on your right next to the hospital and across from the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. 

From South (Lynchburg): Follow U.S. 29 North toward Charlottesville. Turn right onto U.S. 29 Business North/Fontaine Avenue. Continue straight onto Jefferson Park Avenue. Turn right to stay on Jefferson Park Avenue. Turn right onto Lee Street. The Primary Care Center is located on your right next to the hospital and across from the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. 

From East: Take I-64 West toward Charlottesville. Take exit 121 for state Route 20 toward Charlottesville/Scottsville. Turn right onto state Route 20 North. Turn left onto Elliott Avenue. Continue onto Cherry Avenue. Turn right onto Roosevelt Brown Boulevard. Take third left onto Crispell Drive. Take the first right onto Lee Street. Take a slight left at the light onto Jefferson Park Avenue. The Primary Care Center is located on on the right next to the hospital and across from the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center.

From West: Take I-64 East toward Richmond. Take exit 118B to merge onto U.S. 29 North toward Charlottesville/Culpeper. Take the U.S. 29 Business North ramp to Charlottesville. Turn right onto U.S. 29 Business North/Fontaine Avenue. Continue straight onto Jefferson Park Avenue. Turn right to stay on Jefferson Park Avenue. Turn right onto Lee Street. The Primary Care Center is located on the right next to the hospital and across from the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. 

Parking Information

Parking is available in the Patient/Visitor Parking Garage on Lee Street, across from the Emergency Department. Your parking will be validated so there is no charge. 

Walking Information

There are two ways to access the clinic. If you enter through the hospital’s main entrance by the Emergency Department, walk through the hall to the main lobby and take a right at the information desk. Continue down this hall until you see the entrance to Primary Care on your left.  You will check in on the first floor before proceeding to the Pediatric Clinic on the fourth floor.

You can also enter through the doors on Lee Street, directly across the street from the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center. This takes you the main lobby of the Primary Care Center. You will check in on the first floor before proceeding to the Pediatric Clinic on the fourth floor.

New Patients

Call us to make an appointment or transfer your care. Bring medical records and immunization records to the first appointment, if possible. Our front desk staff can help you with transferring records.

Your Medications

Call us for prescription refills. Please allow 24 hours for refills to be processed.

Lab Results

Your doctor will call you with lab results, but call us if you have any questions. 

After-Hours Care

Call 434.972.1020 to be connected to the on-call pediatrician.

Cancellation Policy

Try to give us 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Billing

Payments and copays are expected at the time of your visit.

Pay your bill online and get billing information.
