Dr. Fracasso specializes in the design and conduct of clinical trials with an emphasis on new drug treatment for women’s cancers. She has served as study chair in over 30 institutional, cooperative group, and pharmaceutical clinical trials. On the national level, Dr. Fracasso is the chair of the Phase I Subcommittee and co-chair of the Developmental Therapeutics Committee in the National Cancer Institute's Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) where she is involved in approving and monitoring all Phase I trials for gynecologic malignancies taking place nationwide. She has authored numerous publications and presents nationally on topics related to novel therapies for women's cancers.
Dr. Fracasso's goal is for all women with breast or gynecologic cancers to participate in a clinical trial by designing innovative, personalized therapies in women's cancer care at the University of Virginia Cancer Center.
