Background
Robert W. Battle, M.D., graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in English and completed his MD degree at the University of Virginia. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases and has a joint appointment in Medicine and Pediatrics. He specializes in adult congenital heart disease, cardiovascular care of the elite athlete, structural and valvular hear disease and general cardiology. He is an expert in echocardiography, which is used to diagnose some vascular conditions.
Dr. Battle is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has received several teaching awards and has shared his research and experience by authoring or co-authoring more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters or scientific abstracts.
