Clinical Practice
Outpatient adolescent health including annual exams, minor acute illness, school and sports physicals, sexual health and prenatal care.
Background
Although trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner, my practice has been more concentrated in the area of adolescence with an emphasis on health promotion and risk reduction. I have a busy clinical practice at the Teen Health Center and I also work with community groups, state agencies and federal programs. My connections to these various other groups allow me to participate in protocol development and be a change agent as I contribute to knowledge about adolescent health and improving the rules/regulations affecting it. My three daughters have given me a ""learning laboratory"" for working with this age group and I will never trivialize the issues facing both parents and teens. I also love the outdoors and will play any chance I get - that means running, tennis,swimming and golf. Or maybe something new?
