Background
Dr. Sanoff graduated magna cum laude from Williams College, and then returned home to Philadelphia where she attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her internal medicine residency, fellowship in medical oncology, and master’s in public health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Sanoff was on the faculty at UNC for 3 years before relocating to UVA with her family in the fall of 2009.
Dr. Sanoff has expertise in chemotherapy and the multidisciplinary treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. Her research interests include clinical trials of new drugs and targeted agents for GI cancers, the use of chemotherapy in the elderly, and the effectiveness of anticancer therapy in real world settings. Dr. Sanoff is an active member of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group.
