Background
After receiving a Bachelors of Arts degree from UVA in 1990, I became interested in women's health and went on to earn Bachelor's and Master's degrees in nursing. I was certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in 1998. I spent my early career working in a birthing center in South Texas, then moved on to a private OB-GYN practice in Williamsburg, Va. After a few years in Seattle, I was thrilled to be invited back to UVA for my job at the Teen Health Center. Outside of work, I enjoy being a mom, reading and traveling.
