Twanda fled Hurricane Katrina, moving to Charlottesville as part of a local relief effort. But with her new beginning came a confrontation with an old enemy: obesity. Twanda lost weight and improved her health with successful bariatric surgery at UVA. She's just one example of how we strive to make a difference for those in our care.
Brigitte, Maureen and Mary bonded because all three have a serious vascular disorder. And they also share a deep gratitude for the expertise they’ve found at UVA.
