Since billing for medical treatment is very specialized, patients may receive more than one bill as a result of a single visit.

UVA patients may receive two bills: One from the Medical Center and one from the UVA Physicians Group (formerly Health Services Foundation).

Medical Center Billing

Sample Medical Center StatementMedical Center bills include hospital services associated with either an inpatient (you were in the hospital overnight) or outpatient visit. This includes services like lab work, X-rays or surgery.
