We've been one of the first and only digestive centers in the region to perform a number of advanced procedures:

  • We offer photodynamic therapy - treating esophageal and bile duct cancer cells using drugs called photosensitizing agents, along with light to kill cancer cells.
  • We were the first center in the state to offer argon plasma coagulation, a procedure that uses electrical currents to control bleeding and other intestinal issues.
  • We have expertise with the Whipple procedure, which treats pancreatic cancer by removing the head of the pancreas and other nearby tissue.
