All healthcare providers and support staff must cleanse their hands before entering and after exiting a patient’s room.
We measure how often caregivers and staff properly cleanse their hands in inpatient units, procedure areas and outpatient clinics. Procedure areas include operating rooms, radiology and other areas where caregivers perform procedures for patients.

Measured on a quarterly (three-month) basis. Data as of Sept. 30, 2015.
