A Phase 2, Multi-Center, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study to Evaluate the Safety, Efficacy, and Pharmacokinetics of Induction Therapy with PRA023 in Subjects with Moderately to Severely Active Ulcerative Colitis
Study Description

The Gastroenterology Department seeks adults over the age of 18 with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (UC) for a research study. The purpose of the study is to see if a new drug (PRA023) is better than currently approved drug at treating UC.

You may be eligible for this study if you have tried other drugs to treat your UC and they have not worked or have stopped working.

Study involves taking an experimental medicine/placebo by IV infusion, blood draws, 1 x ray, EKGs, stool collections, colonoscopy x 3, and physical exams. This study involves at least 16 visits at UVA over approximately 67 weeks.
