The Department of Neurology’s Memory Division seeks adults ages 55 to 75 with normal cognitive aging for a research study and a reliable study partner who knows the participant well. The purpose of the study is to test the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of an investigational medicine for slowing the onset of Alzheimer’s Disease.
This study involves taking an experimental vaccine/placebo, blood draws, cognitive testing, brain imaging. Participants have a 50/50 chance of receiving the investigational medication. The study will involve about 7 visits annually over the course of 4 years. Visits will last from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
