You must be a nonsmoker, a non-exerciser, and have never taken the drug Liraglutide

Participation involves a 24-week treatment period. Participants are randomized to either 1) an exercise program, 2) taking the study drug, or 3) an exercise program combined with taking the study drug.
There are 5 outpatient visits:
- 3 outpatient visits (lasting about 1 to 2 hours).

All visits are during the week, and require blood draws. The study will take approx. 5 months to complete.
