Official Trial Title: Evaluation of volumetric muscle loss in the lower extremity
Compensation: $100.00 for study completion.
The University of Virginia, Department of Orthopaedics, is conducting a research study The purpose of the study is to measure muscle function in healthy people and patients with muscle loss due to an injury. The study involves measuring: how you move when you walk, muscle strength of your legs, muscle function, ultrasound testing and having an MRI of your legs. Testing will occur at up to 4 separate visits and the total amount of time required is about 6 hours.
