A Multicenter, Double-blind, Placebo- and Active-Controlled Parallel-Group Evaluation of the Safety and Efficacy of Vilazodone in Pediatric Patients with Major Depressive Disorder (VLZ-MD-22)
Study Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences, Division of Child and Family Psychiatry is seeking children ages 7-11 with major depressive disorder (MDD) for a research study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug in managing the symptoms of MDD in children.

Study involves blood draws, EKGs, physical exams, psychiatric assessments, and taking a daily investigational drug/placebo for up to 10 weeks. There will be up to 9 visits to the study center over 10 weeks.

Study-related exams, tests, and the study drug are provided free of charge.
