The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences is conducting a study that evaluates a phone app-based program that provides women cancer survivors skills for coping with distress and promoting mental health. The results of this study will help us to understand how we can use mobile technology to support future women's cancer survivors.
Researchers are looking for 20-30 women cancer survivors who have completed their active cancer treatment (within the last 10 years), are fluent in English, and that own a smartphone with a plan that allows for text messaging and Internet access. In this 6-week study, participants will have access to an app, receive light phone coaching to orient using the app, and complete a short online survey about their experience using the app.
