The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral sciences, Division of Child and Family Psychiatry is seeking children ages 6-12 with ADHD and impulsive aggression for a research study. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug in anger symptoms in children with ADHD.
Your child may be eligible for this study if he/she has ADHD, is currently being treated with medication for ADHD and displays symptoms of impulsive aggression (arguing, cursing, yelling, threatening, throwing things, hair pulling, and hitting).
Study involves blood draws, EKGs, physical exams, psychiatric assessments, and taking a daily investigational drug/placebo. There will be up to 7 visits to the study center over 12 weeks.
Study-related exams, tests and the study drug are provided free of charge.
