Melissa P Yeager, CNM

Melissa Yeager, MS, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a certified nurse midwife who provides comprehensive care, including gynecological care, family planning, prenatal care, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care.

“My goal is to meet each patient where they are in terms of health, education, resources, and goals,” she says, “and to help them feel empowered to reach their optimal health. In pregnancy and birth, I want patients to have care and experiences that power both their self-actualization and their parenting going forward.”

Yeager grew up in the United Kingdom, where she attended boarding school and received degrees in history and European politics and society and a doctorate in politics from Oxford University.

After teaching in the UK, Canada, and the United States, she decided to make a career change. She earned her nursing degree from Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond and her master’s in nursing from Georgetown University.

Yeager has a large family and loves to read, run, and ride her bike.
