Dr. Anjushree Kumar, Assistant Professor of Medicine has recently joined the Division of Nephrology/CIIR as a transplant nephrologist. She recently completed an intensive transplant fellowship at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Arizona. She received her MBBS and postgraduate training at Rajendra Medical College, India. She also pursued residency in OB/GYN at Patna Medical College and Hospital, India, residency in Family Medicine at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, MO and residency training in medicine and fellowship training in nephrology at U. Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City , KS.
Clinical Interest: She has an interest in kidney transplantation and extended criteria donors, likely use of Acute kidney injury kidneys, High Kidney donor profile index kidneys , high cold ischemia time kidneys and is studying the allograft survival in delayed graft function kidney transplantation. She is also interested in use of Plasmapheresis in Kidney transplant for ABO and HLA incompatible transplantation.
Family: Married. Twin daughters, Anjali and Anisha, 11 yrs old
Interest: Travelling to different part of USA and world, spending time with family.
