Joseph Zilisch, MD, provides general and comprehensive ophthalmology care for patients who have eye conditions, including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma. As an attending physician, he teaches residents (licensed doctors in ophthalmology training) in the clinic and operating room.
Dr. Zilisch was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He attended Carthage College in Wisconsin for undergraduate (Class of 2012), graduated from Medical College of Wisconsin (Class of 2016), and completed his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Virginia (2017-2020)
His wife is an MD in psychiatry. He enjoys golfing and playing soccer in the SOCA (Soccer Organization Charlottesville Area) league.
