Kranthikiran Earasi, MD, is an internal medicine doctor who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. His clinical interests include medical education and point-of-care ultrasound.
Dr. Earasi spent most of his early years in Pennsylvania. He attended Pennsylvania State University to study biology and psychology. He received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He and his wife, Athidi Earasi, MD, came to UVA for their internal medicine residency training. She is serving as a chief resident for the internal medicine residency program. He completed his residency in 2021 and joined the UVA faculty in hospital medicine.
Dr. Earasi was drawn to UVA for multiple reasons: the camaraderie among the faculty, diverse patient population, including the underserved; close interaction with medical students and residents; and the exceptional patient care that is provided.
His favorite pastimes include spending time with his family, golfing, and fly fishing.
