Lindsay Smith, PA, is a physician assistant who provides care for patients in the Emergency Department at UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center.
She shares, “I approach working with patients as a moving body of water. Each patient has different needs, communication styles, and complex histories, which have led to their current situation and circumstance. I feel that approaching each patient with compassion and willingness to embrace the ebbs and flows of each patient is essential for providing quality care.“
She adds, “I will always do everything in my power to learn from each patient I have the pleasure to work with and uphold a transparent and honest relationship with patients and their family.”
Lindsay was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. She graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. “I married my husband, Brady, the year I graduated from undergrad. We packed up our things and moved out to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, so I could attend Chatham University's Physician Assistant program,” she shares.
In 2019, they moved to Winchester, Virginia, to develop their careers.
Lindsay says, “I wanted to become a PA so I could serve the community I live in. I have witnessed both great and not-so-great experiences in the medical setting in my life. I want to be part of the push for better medical care and compassion for patients and family in the medical setting.”
