Margaret McLean is a nurse practitioner working with the thoracic medical oncologists at UVA Cancer Center. Before her current role, she worked for almost five years as a floor nurse in inpatient hematology/oncology.
Ms. McLean was born and raised here in Charlottesville, and served as a junior volunteer at UVA Medical Center while in high school. She went to the College of Charleston and studied political science and photography. She then attended Johns Hopkins University for an accelerated BSN program. She completed her master’s in nursing at UVA in 2016.
On weekends, Ms. McLean loves hiking with her 2-year-old golden retriever, Charlie, and eating at many of the delicious local restaurants. She also loves to travel, cook and spend time with her family.
