I was born in Long Beach, CA, and grew up all over the country from the East Coast to the West Coast and Hawaii. I completed my undergraduate work at Norfolk State University and my MSN at UVA’s School of Nursing, where I graduated with honors (Sigma Theta Tau International).
My specialty is three fold. 1) Clinical populations: neuroscience, vascular, and complimentary alternative care, such as energy medicine to plant based biomedicine, 2) Application of specialties: education both professionally and in the community and 3) Clinically: critical and acute care and past private practice in energy healing.
My life outside of work has been varied, including artist mediums like color pencil, acrylics and photography. I’m also a gardener of medicinal plants and organic sustainable methods. In the past, I volunteered with Chesapeake Bay Youth Conservation Corp. and Chesapeake Master Gardner Association with youth-at-risk gardening programs. I am a Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) and family confirmed descendant of the Mayflower; my grandfather was an active member of the Mayflower Society in California. I am married with pets and travel between home in Chesapeake and work in Charlottesville.
