Sara Y. De La Rosa, MD, is a clinical instructor in the UVA Department of Ophthalmology completing subspecialty training in glaucoma. She cares for patients of all ages who have this disease and is especially interested in its early identification, treatment and surgical management.
Born and raised in Texas, De La Rosa received her undergraduate degree in bioengineering from Rice University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She studied medicine at the University of Michigan and completed residency training at Tulane University in New Orleans.
In her free time, De La Rosa likes to travel around the U.S.
