Susan Yim, DO, is a board-certified physician whose primary focus is caring for patients’ immediate needs in the urgent care environment. Prior to making the transition to urgent care, Yim was a family practice physician and emergency medicine provider.
Originally from the Republic of Korea, Yim’s family immigrated to Memphis, Tennessee, when she was eight years old. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and then attended medical school at the Kansas City University of Osteopathic Medicine (KCUMB). Residency training at Garden City Hospital in Michigan would follow.
Yim spent 13 years practicing medicine in Champaign, Illinois, before relocating to Charlottesville, where she resides with her husband and two children. When she isn’t working, Yim enjoys spending time with her family and watching her two children enjoy equestrian sports.
