About

Biography

Tammy Tedsen, MSN, APRN, is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner who cares for adult cancer patients at UVA Cancer Center. She has been a practicing nurse for 30 years, beginning her career as a candy striper and working her way up to being a nurse practitioner. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bangor University and her graduate degree from Walden University. Born in Germany into a military family, she has enjoyed seeing the world. In fact, Tammy’s been fortunate to have practiced as a nurse both here in the USA and the UK. She is a recent transplant from Florida, moving to Charlottesville to pursue her clinical interest in hematological malignancies here at UVA.

In her downtime, Tammy enjoys spending time with her children and pets, traveling, cooking, DIYing and hiking.
