Diagnostic Referral Clinic
We see patients on an as-needed basis. Call for more information.
If your primary care doctor thinks your child needs a second opinion, you may be asked to first visit the Diagnostic Referral Clinic (DRC).
The doctors and nurses at the DRC offer in-depth medical evaluation and can make a referral to a specialist, if necessary. Your primary care doctor will remain involved in your child's care the entire time.
What to Expect
After your primary care doctor refers your child to the DRC, a pediatrician will perform a complete evaluation and immediately send any recommendations for followup care to your doctor. They may also recommend you see a UVA specialist.
Our clinic is led by childcare experts who specialize in difficult diagnoses.
