How do I get to the hospital?

Get maps and directions to the hospital.

Where should I park?

Park in the Lee Street Garage, located across the street from the hospital's emergency room and main entrance. 

Can I get dropped off in front of the hospital?

Yes.

Is there valet parking?

Yes. It's free and available 24/7 if you're going to the emergency department. Otherwise, valet parking costs $6, between 5 a.m. - 8 p.m. Cash only.

Where do we go?

Between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., go through the front doors of the hospital and head straight to the 8th floor. You can check in at the Labor & Delivery desk there.

What if it's after 9 p.m. and before 7 a.m.? 

Between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., enter through the Emergency Department.

Do we have to stop at the registration desk first?

No. If you're in the care of a UVA OB-GYN or midwife, you don't need to register.

What if there's an emergency?

Call 911. Ask to go to UVA for your delivery. 

 

Visitor Guidelines

Clinics & COVID-19 Patients: No Visitors 

For adult clinic appointments or those in the hospital with COVID-19:

  • No one can come with you into clinic buildings
  • No visitors at the bedside of COVID-19 cases
  • The care team can allow standard exceptions 

In Hospital, ED, & Procedures: 1 Visitor

For adults in the hospital, emergency department, or having medical procedures:

  • Only 1 visitor allowed at a time
  • Two visitors can be designated
  • The care team can allow standard exceptions

When you can't visit in person, you can still:
