Hi. My nameÕs Arun Krishnaraj, and IÕm a radiologist at the University of Virginia. One of the things IÕve really been inspired by is meeting with patients one on one to discuss their images and the implications of that. I think it has a profound impact on an individual to be able to see what the inside of their body looks like, and whatÕs going on with the treatments theyÕre receiving, say for chemotherapy, or efforts theyÕve made to reduce their weight, or improve their health, and being able to see tangible changes on the images of the inside of their body. New patients at UVA can really expect a very patient-friendly and patient-first atmosphere. Radiologists that you can reach if you have questions, a caring staff that is going to prepare you appropriately for the exam that youÕre going to get, and physicians and staff that are going to get you through that exam with little or no discomfort. Patients can know that by coming to UVA, they are being seen by some of the best doctors in the country, with the latest technologies and innovations, and the most access to clinical trials, and things that are going on in the laboratories, making their way to the bedside.
