Hello. I'm Mary Lee Vance. I'm an endocrinologist, which means I take care of patients with hormone problems. I'm in the department of medicine and neurosurgery. My specialty in endocrinology is actually the pituitary gland, which is a little, tiny gland hanging off the bottom of our brain and it regulates so many things that keep us going. So, my work, it usually involves patients with pituitary problems, pituitary tumors or patients whose pituitary gland doesn't work right. It's important that a patient with a pituitary problem see someone who actually only works in the pituitary field because of the expertise hopefully we are able to offer here. We started a combined program of neurosurgery who does the surgery on these tumors and what we call neuroendocrinology, which is what I do. The unique thing about our program is we're all together in the same clinic. We see the patients together. I think that's what's most beneficial.
