My name is Michael Williams. I'm an attending physician in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Virginia. My main areas of focus are in lymphoma, both non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Hodgkin disease, as well as leukemias, in particular, chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Our focus here is both on state-of-the-art care for these complex diseases, and also with clinical investigation, and bringing new and very promising treatments to our patients. Patients coming to the university for the first time can expect that they will be seeing individuals and teams that focus in their disease, whether it's lung cancer or breast cancer or lymphoma, or multiple myeloma, or non-malignant blood disorders. We have expertise here both at the attending physician level and at the diagnostic and patient care levels throughout the cancer center. Our aim is to have the experience here, from beginning to completion of treatment, to be just as seamless and comprehensive as it can be.
