Hi, IÕm Rachita Khot, radiologist at University of Virginia. IÕm an abdominal radiologist. As an abdominal radiologist, I look at CT scans, MRI, and ultrasounds. I also perform image-guided, minimally invasive procedures, using ultrasound or CT guidance. It was during my intern year, I got exposed to radiology. I was very fascinated by the fact, how radiologists can make a huge difference by just looking at black and white images. The challenge of finding the cause for suffering, and be able to find the diagnosis led me into radiology. Patients can expect high quality of care and commitment for best care from our physician from the moment they walk in and walk out of radiology. My care philosophy is, I look at every scan as if IÕm looking at friends or familyÕs scan. Every scan makes such a huge difference and every scan matters. IÕm passionate about finding the cause for suffering because we have to look at various things, and it definitely takes some time, but we are able to answer, and able to make a difference in somebodyÕs life.
