My name is Elisabeth Robinson and I'm an orthopedic surgeon here at the University of Virginia in Culpepper. I practice general orthopedics as well as sports medicine. I love working in the community in Culpeper, I think this is a great community where there's a lot of medical camaraderie as well as a comaraderie between folks who live here. Orthopedic surgery is great because it allows us to be able to treat patients and get patients back to the level where they want to be. Patients come in saying that the thing that they love doing the most whether that's golf for gardening is starting to be difficult for them and we can take that one issue and the issues that they have in terms of getting back into doing those things and make them better. It's really a one problem figuring out the solution to that one problem and essentially fixing it and allowing them to get back to doing those things they love. My partner doctor Harandi and I take care of the local high school football teams as well, we're on the sidelines for the football games and we know the athletic trainers well and that involvement in the sports high school world has been very fulfilling for us as well.
