My name is Melody Noble. I'm an acute care nurse practitioner in the outpatient infusion center. In my practice, I see patients in our new hematology oncology urgent symptom clinic. A patient's urgent need might be fluids and electrolytes after having chemotherapy. It could be blood. It could be an evaluation for deep vein thrombosis. This clinic is going to be hopefully utilized to help reduce readmissions and to help keep our patients out of the emergency room. I remember when I was a kid when my mom was in nursing school and she had all of her big nursing textbooks out on our kitchen table and her studying and her ability to do that with four kids at home was really inspirational to me. I am passionate about providing great care to every patient that comes through my door in my capacity. I will be meeting people on a day when they're probably not feeling well and they are probably in the midst of some highly complex and challenging treatment. I enjoy meeting these patients and helping to meet their needs where they're at that day.
