Hi, my name is Daniel Lee and I go by Trey. I'm the director of pediatric stem cell transplantation and cellular immunotherapy here at UVA Children's Hospital. My job here at UVA Children's is to take care of patients who need a stem cell transplant or need some other kind of immunotherapy treatment. These are very specialized treatments that aren't available at many institutions, and it's a really powerful type of therapy that can have a really big impact in many of our patients with relapse leukemias and lymphomas, for example. Here at UVA Children's we pride ourselves on providing the best possible care for your child with cancer. We have amazing experts here who are known worldwide. We have a fantastic team behind the scenes and at the bedside to take care of your child. We also have some of the most cutting edge therapies available. So the best part of my job hands down has got to be those last days of therapy, where we can say you're done, you're cancer free. Second to that probably is seeing them come back year after year for follow up and seeing the little kids grow into young adults. That's incredibly rewarding.
