Connie M. Chung, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor of dermatology at the UVA School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree and PhD in biophysics from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Chung completed an internship in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by residency training in dermatology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
Prior to joining UVA, Dr. Chung was a dermatologist in the Department of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. In addition, she was on faculty at Harvard Medical School as an instructor in dermatology and was an assistant professor of dermatology at the George Washington University School Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington, D.C. She has trained residents, taught medical students and presented at American Academy of Dermatology and World Congress of Dermatology.
Dr. Chung specializes in general medical dermatology with an interest in skin cancer, melanoma and dysplastic moles.
