Bio & Overview
As a nurse practitioner, Carolyn A. Brady, ACNP, MSN, RN, specializes in treating patients with cardiovascular disease. She works in the UVA Health Advanced Heart Failure Clinic, caring for patients with a history of heart failure and other serious heart conditions.
After growing up in Virginia and in Germany, Carolyn earned her bachelor of science in nursing degree from Catholic University. She earned her master of science in nursing and acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) degrees at UVA, where she has worked since 2001.
In 2023, Carolyn received a DAISY Award, which honors excellence in nursing care. Recipients are nominated by patients and their families, visitors, or fellow UVA Health team members.
Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her family.
