Christopher Ashton, MD, is a general pediatrician with a special interest in vaccines and caring for patients with autism. Born at the Naval Academy infirmary in Annapolis, Maryland, he grew up in Fairmont, West Virginia, and attended Fairmont State College. There, he majored in chemistry and biology and was an academic all-American swimmer. Ashton completed his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine.
Married with four children, Ashton spends most of his free time in his garden or orchard and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the winter months, he can be found in his woodshop carving spoons and bowls and making furniture.
