I tend to get "White Coat Syndrome" when I visit doctors, especially given the seriousness of what took me to the Couric Cancer Center. Yet, I am relaxed, at ease, and comfortable when I meet with Dr. Schiff and his team. I came with questions, written so I would not forget them, and every one was answered in full before I left. There is no better team, and I would recommend them to anyone who has the misfortune of needing to see them. I could not trust anyone more than I do Dr. Schiff, and that extends to the people around him. In short, I trust my life, well-being, and health to him. I know he will tell me what I need to know, in a way that I can understand it. The white coats in Charlottesville at the Couric Center do not make me nervous -- they put me at ease because I know whatever my tests may uncover, I am in the care of the best team possible. I have said before and only continue to believe this more ll the time: If a person is diagnosed with a brain tumor, there is no better time in human history than now and no better place than Dr. Schiff's office to go for near-once a week treatment and follow-up.

Dr. Schiff is very kind and is very knowledgeable in his field. I feel honored to be a patient of his for over the years he has become more like a family member. I highly recommend him for the care of cancer patients.

Waited 1 hour to be seen just to tell me the tumor from gamma knife procedure got smaller. The doctor said "to me it looks the same" but the radiologist said it got smaller. I did not like his response. So which is the correct answer? Very not helpful.
