Bio & Overview

Darlinda M. Grice, MD, is a physician with UVA Work-Med, caring for injured workers from a variety of backgrounds and work environments. This work includes providing preplacement and monitoring physicals, health screenings and immunizations to protect the health of team members at UVA and other organizations in central Virginia.

Grice received her medical degree from Indiana University before pursuing a transitional internship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California. While there, she was a member of multiple honor societies and the recipient of the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal. Grice completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UVA, where she was appointed chief resident.

Dr. Grice is one of the best doctors I've seen, the best in all the US Doctors I have seen. She is very personable, very knowledgeable, concerned with medication side effects, explained everything about my treatment. UVA is very very lucky to have her.

She was professional, informative, and willing to help me get the treatment I needed. She explained what issue I could be having and scheduled a test to confirm what actually is going on. She is good at her job. Very easy to talk too.

Dr. Grice is the best doctor I have seen in a long time. She was very attentive, kind, knowledgeable and an expert on what she does. She educated me about my neck/shoulder pain's cause and possible treatments. She talks about different medications and she gave me an advise so I would take my medicine in a safe wat. I can tell she reads her medical books and have a lot of experience because the moment she went into the room, she knows the cause of my pain. She also provided me comfort when I started crying from the overwhelming situation I am in. I love Dr. Grice.
