Francesco Michelassi, MD, PhD, is a neurologist who specializes in treating a wide range of neuromuscular disorders, including peripheral neuropathy, muscular dystrophy, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, spinal muscular atrophy, and inclusion body myositis.
Dr. Michelassi was born and raised in Hyde Park, Chicago. He earned his medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed his internal medicine internship, neurology residency, and neuromuscular research fellowship at Columbia University.
His research interests include chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.
