As an endourologist, Haerin Beller, MD, MSc, treats benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), male urinary retention, and kidney stones.
She is a BPH specialist and performs holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP), robotic simple prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), and UroLift.
For kidney stones, she performs ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), robotic nephrectomy, and robotic ureteral reconstructive surgery.
She also specializes in prostate cancer diagnosis and offers MRI-guided transperineal prostate biopsy in the doctor’s office and the operating room.
Dr. Beller is a northern California native and graduate of Stanford University. She worked at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics before earning her medical degree from Vanderbilt University, where she was a dean’s scholar. Dr. Beller was the class of 2014’s sole recipient of the Vanderbilt Medical Center Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence.
She completed her urologic surgery residency at UVA Health. As part of the academic enhancement track, she also received a master’s degree in clinical research from the UVA School of Public Health. She received training in holmium laser enucleation of the prostate and transperineal prostate biopsy at Guy’s Hospital in London.
