Bio & Overview
Dr. Zillioux grew up in Roanoke and has an enduring love for the Blue Ridge mountains. After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, where she was a Bell Scholar, Dr. Zillioux attended medical school at Duke University. She completed her urology residency at UVA Health and a 2-year accredited fellowship in female medicine and reconstructive surgery (FPMRS) at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Zillioux chose a career in medicine because of “a root desire to help people, coupled with a love for science and biology.” She chose to become a urologist and urogynecologist because of the unique and significant impacts that urinary problems have on patients’ quality of life.
With each patient, Dr. Zillioux strives to build a relationship that empowers them to make decisions about their own care.
“I work to understand what is most important to the patient and what their priorities and treatment goals are,” Dr. Zillioux says. “From there, we can together determine what is the best treatment option tailored for the patient and their particular problem.”

Meet Jacqueline Zillioux, MD
I'm Jacqueline Zillioux. I am a urologist specializing in female urology and urogynecology. I specialize in treating issues with the pelvic floor and urinary incontinence in women. So, these problems can range from issues where the vagina or the uterus lose support and cause pressure or discomfort, as well as all types of urinary leakage and incontinence. I really became interested in urology because of the impact that urological issues have on people's quality of life. I saw the tremendous impact that a simple surgery could have and the ability of patients to go out of their homes, or enjoy their families, their grandchildren, their children, and wanted to be a part of that and help advance the treatments as well. One of the special things about UVA Health is the collegiality and collaboration among the different specialties. We all work together as a team.
