Janelle Gorski, ANP, is a nurse practitioner who focuses on breast cancer screening and caring for cancer patients and survivors. She joined UVA Health in 2024.
Janelle shares, “I love helping people. I look forward to serving patients with cancer for many years to come at UVA Health.”
Her promise to patients is to “listen to your concerns, provide excellent medical care, and help you to live well after a cancer diagnosis.”
Practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2008, Janelle is certified as an NP in Adult Health (ANP-BC) and Oncology (AOCNP). She has an undergraduate degree in psychology from University of Virginia. She received both her nursing degrees (bachelor and master level) from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond.
Janelle grew up in Springfield, Virginia with three brothers. Her best childhood memories were on the soccer field. Her inspiration to pursue a nursing career came from her childhood primary care provider and her mother, who is a nurse and “one of my greatest role models,” she shares.
“My brothers and I received our medical care from an amazing pediatric nurse practitioner — Susan. We considered her a member of our family,” she shares.
Janelle lives near Charlottesville with her husband and two children. She enjoys hiking, live music, and sports.
